If everyone remembers 1 year ago runescape was going through a deflation (what this word means for you uneducated retards is everything in the runescape economy is dropping, the opposite of this word is Inflation, which would explain the high prices of hmasks and santas). A deflation can be used to people's advantages if they are smart. This is probably happening because of the climbing boots update as well as many other updates - imps jars not rare anymore, runite easier to mind + easier to level mining levels.

Now my solution people!
Find an item that you see is dropping a lot. Although this item must be an item that everyone uses/buys. This item is going to be tricky to find, but during a deflation something you dont want is MONEY IN THE BANK! Most people think it's best to have money in the bank for deflation but think about it this way....

A pot of flour during deflation is 1gp
A pot of flour during inflation is 3gp

lets say you bought 10k pots of flower.
You just made 20k profit (30k-10k=20k)

If you guys need further explanation just post what you dont understand.. this is somewhat of a rushed explanation of how a deflation works. Take economics in highschool/university to learn more Razz

Lastly my point is proven if you look at crashing AGS prices, Dclaws, Hmasks and Santas.
Some smaller items: Master Wand, Wizard Boots, Imps in jars, Runite ores, Gold Ores, etc.

Havent been on much to look up many items but that's just an idea of the things to look at

Only useful if you can lock up mils for months until the item comes out of deflation lol.

The thing is holding on to items that long with a certain amount of profit may be nothing in compared to a daily merchanting/flipping routine in that time period.

Say I have three hundred mil and I start a daily flipping routine with a merch clan. I use 200 of that mil to flip with and make like 5 mil+ a day. In a year I am gonna easily have over a bil or two in profit. If I used that 200 mil to buy a few rares or buy some cheap items ... the profit would be far far less.

The way that you can make a couple bil in this year time is you keep massing more money to flip with, so it is like an exponential kinda thing. The more money you make the more money you have availabe to use owards profits and on and on.
